Violeta Tsenova's work with National Trust at Seaton Delaval Hall

In strategic partnership with National Trust at Seaton Delaval Hall, PhD researcher Violeta Tsenova worked with volunteers and staff at the property to design a Virtual Reality installation to be exhibited in situ. This project aimed to encourage volunteers and staff to use their existing storytelling expertise, tap into their creativity and reimagine the site through their personal experiences of Seaton Delaval Hall.

With covid-19 the installation has been postponed indefinitely but the materials are available online at www.locistories.com . The perspective has shifted from the digital design to forming a collection of the process and documenting the site. More information will be added in the upcoming weeks. The website is followed by a 10-minute evaluation survey which you are invited to take. The link can be found here: https://newcastle.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/critical-making-and-heritage-interpretation

Violeta is in the third year of her PhD research, based at the School of History, Classics and Archaeology and co-supervised with Open Lab at Newcastle University.
