The OUTing the Past Festival

The Outing the Past Festival runs through February as a prelude to LGBTQI+ History Month (in March). This coming year, there are 22 Festival Hubs up and down the land - from Lewis to Leeds, from Bolton to Stratford-upon-Avon. They are making available a programme of special events during February in a range of venues. There is a gazette of talks and presentations which are nationally available, and through which speakers can be invited to travel and give talks. There are free LGBTQI+ on-line resources made available via the Festival and its partners for schools. The theme for 2020 is 'Poetry, Prose, and Plays', and there are for named writers: E.M.Forster. Lorraine Hansberry, Dawn Langley Simmons, and William Shakespeare. The Festival is led by non-universities, who would very much like for universities, their students and staff, to know about it. A list of Festival Hubs is now live and you can find out more at https://www.outingthepast.com/ and //www.outingthepast.com/festival-blog-2019.
