Art Museums and the Production of Difference: BME audiences and challenges of inclusivity: Megan’s research will interrogate the effectiveness of programming concerned with increasing ‘diversity’ in art galleries as related to experiences of those who identify as Black and Minority Ethnic (BME). This project aims to improve understanding of barriers to attending art museums for BME people, inform conversations around programming in order to make them more inclusive and relevant, and assist UK galleries in better representing the ethnic diversity of Britain.
